Pega — a closer look

About this course

This intermediate-to-advanced programme equips learners to design, configure, and deploy production-grade Pega applications through a structured, instructor-led format. Delivered as live online sessions, the course combines concept-driven walkthroughs with hands-on labs inside the Pega Platform itself. Learners work directly in App Studio and Dev Studio throughout, reinforcing every topic through guided practice. The curriculum concludes with a capstone project in which participants independently build and deploy a complete Pega application, consolidating every skill developed across the programme into a single, deployable solution.

What is Pega?

Pega is an enterprise-grade low-code platform used to build intelligent business process automation and customer engagement applications at scale. At its core, it organises work around cases, rules, and class structures, allowing developers to model complex business processes without writing extensive custom code. Pega's rule-driven architecture means that decision tables, declare expressions, flow actions, and data pages can encode sophisticated business logic in a maintainable, auditable way. Because rules are resolved through inheritance across layered class hierarchies, applications built on Pega are highly reusable and extensible. In production environments, this translates to faster time-to-market, governed deployments via Deployment Manager, and traceable runtime behaviour debugged through the Pega Tracer and clipboard inspection tools, making Pega applications reliable enough for large financial, healthcare, and government workloads.

Why learn Pega now

Enterprises are accelerating digital transformation by replacing legacy workflows with intelligent automation, and Pega sits at the centre of that shift. Demand for practitioners who can genuinely configure layered application architectures, model case lifecycles, implement declarative processing, and deploy securely through Deployment Manager consistently outpaces supply. Organisations are not simply looking for people familiar with the interface; they need developers who can design data models using data pages and data transforms, wire up Integration Designer connectors, tune work queue routing, and apply service level agreements with precision. Professionals who demonstrate these intermediate-to-advanced capabilities move into higher-responsibility roles quickly, because the gap between someone who has used App Studio and someone who can architect a governed, reusable Pega application is where premium opportunity lives.

Who this course is for

  • Working Pega Developers — Practitioners with basic Pega exposure ready to master Dev Studio, class design, and governed deployment workflows.
  • Business Process Automation Developers — Developers automating enterprise workflows who want to apply Pega's case lifecycle and declarative processing capabilities professionally.
  • Enterprise Application Developers — Software developers from Java or .NET backgrounds transitioning into low-code Pega delivery on large-scale enterprise programmes.
  • Pega Systems Analysts — Analysts bridging business and technology who need hands-on configuration skills across Case Designer and decision rules.
  • Low-Code Application Developers — Platform developers expanding their toolkit to include Pega's layered architecture, security model, and Deployment Manager pipelines.
  • IT Professionals Targeting Automation Roles — Technology professionals aiming to move into Pega Developer or Business Process Automation Developer positions within enterprise organisations.

What you’ll be able to build

By the end you will have built — not just studied — the core systems of the field:

  • Layered Pega Application Architecture — A fully structured application built across multiple class layers in Dev Studio, demonstrating rule inheritance, ruleset stacking, and reusable component design.
  • Case Lifecycle with Parallel Processing — A multi-stage case in Case Designer with configured steps, parallel branches, and service level agreements applied to assignments and stages.
  • Data Model with Integrated Data Pages — A production-style data model using data classes, properties, and data pages sourced from Integration Designer connectors, with data transforms handling mapping logic.
  • Decision-Driven Process Flow — A complete flow implementing flow actions, when rules, decision tables, and decision trees to route work dynamically across queues and operators.
  • Role-Based UI with Dynamic Layouts — A portal interface built from sections, harnesses, and UI controls, secured by access control policies and operator roles defined in the security module.
  • Report Definitions and Debugging Artefacts — List and summary reports created in Pega Reports, plus a documented debugging session using the Pega Tracer and clipboard to isolate and resolve runtime issues.
  • Capstone Deployed Application — A complete, end-to-end Pega application packaged through branch development and deployed using Deployment Manager, incorporating all programme skills into one live solution.

Career paths & salary

Completing this programme positions learners for roles including Pega Developer, Pega Application Developer, Pega Systems Analyst, Business Process Automation Developer, Low-Code Application Developer, and Enterprise Application Developer. Demand for these profiles is strong across banking, insurance, telecommunications, healthcare, and government sectors, where Pega underpins high-volume case management and customer service automation at enterprise scale. Employers consistently struggle to find candidates who can move beyond basic App Studio configuration into the full Dev Studio skill set covering class architecture, declarative rules, security policy configuration, and Deployment Manager-led release pipelines. Practitioners who can demonstrate they have built, debugged, and deployed governed Pega applications are positioned for senior developer and lead configuration roles, and are frequently sought for large programme delivery teams where Pega expertise is a scarce and valued capability.

Pega in Delhi / NCR: employers & tech hubs

When large IT services firms deliver business process automation for government ministries, telecom operators, or financial institutions, the underlying challenge is often the same: complex case logic that changes faster than traditional development cycles can handle. Pega lets you model those workflows visually, enforce compliance rules at the process level, and connect disparate back-end systems without rewriting core applications each time a regulation shifts. In Delhi NCR's dual market — where private-sector delivery organisations serve global clients and public-sector digitisation contracts demand auditable, rules-driven systems — you might build customer onboarding journeys, grievance redressal platforms, or claims management solutions that need to scale across millions of users while remaining configurable by business teams rather than developers alone.

Employers in Delhi NCR that recruit for Pega skills include HCL and Tech Mahindra, both of which maintain large delivery operations in the region and engage Pega professionals across client engagements in banking, insurance, and government services. Nagarro and Adobe also recruit for roles where process automation and customer engagement platforms intersect with enterprise-scale delivery.

Demand for Pega roles in Delhi NCR grows year on year, reflecting the region's expanding appetite for workflow automation across both private enterprises and public-sector clients. As organisations deepen their investment in digital transformation, professionals with certified Pega experience find themselves relevant across an unusually wide range of engagement types. Live online instructor-led batches run in IST, so you can join from anywhere in Delhi NCR without disrupting your work schedule.
